Inspired by the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, the new generation of Camaro was born. The first sight of the 2010 Camaro concept was released in 2006 and made its theater debut in Transformers in 2007. The new look has turned heads across the globe toward Chevrolet and has them wondering of when the new vehicle can be purchased.
Chevy took into consideration the price of fuel in the nation and designed the Camaro to be good on gas-mileage and overall performance. It perfected it by offering three models: the LS and LT, which include a 3.6-liter V6 that gives the Camaro 300 horsepower while also giving it about 27 highway miles per gallon; and the SS which gets a 6.2-liter V8 that allows 422 horsepower to hit pavement.
Not only are the engines offered gas-friendly and powerful for the 2010 Camaros but the accessories can seal the deal for a new car buyer. Some of the standard additions include:
· Six standard airbags
· Premium Boston Acoustic stereo system
· Bluetooth hands-free phone connection
· OnStar
· Remote vehicle starting system
· USB audio input for iPods, MP3 players, etc.
· XM Satellite Radio
There are many more desirable aspects that are within the new Camaro that make it a safe and well-performing automobile. The Rally Sport package can be added on to the LT or SS models. The RS package adds HID headlamps, a spoiler, special rear lights, and 20-inch wheels.
The interior of the 2010 Camaro is like other. It has large, rounded gauges which show the RPM and the speedometer. There are also small rectangular gauges which show the oil and fuel characteristics in the center console.
The new Camaro is pleasing to eye and the public is ready to see it on the streets. The first of the Camaro coupes will be released in the first quarter of 2009 and the other models will be released later in the year. The starting MSRP for the 2010 Camaro LS is $22,995 which is cheaper compared to vehicles similar to the Camaro like the Mustang and Dodge Challenger.
A Chevrolet sales representative who only identified herself as Heather said that she does not believe that the nation’s recession will affect the sales of the new Camaro.
Heather said, “We have already placed over fifty orders for the new Camaro.” She continued, “I like that Chevrolet is bringing back the design of the older model, like the 1969.”
If the recession does not hurt the sales of the new Camaro, there will many on the streets very soon. The resurrection of the Chevrolet Camaro will not only bring a new variety of design to the highways but will bring back the unforgettable history of the muscle car.
